CFUW West Vancouver meets the 3rd Monday of the month. Coffee and tea are served at 6.45 PM and the meeting begins at 7:00 PM. Meetings are held at The Westerleigh PARC, 725 22nd Street, West Vancouver.
Prospective members and guests always welcome.

Programme for 2019-2020

As of early March 2020, we have cancelled our March 16 and April 20 meetings.
Our May 11 AGM and Dinner is also cancelled.  News about the timing of our
AGM will be posted here once we are able to schedule something. All is dependent on
how long closures and social distancing are needed to deal with COVID- 19

CANCELLED- Monday, March 16, 2020 – Resolutions Meeting members consider any proposed draft resolutions and/or proposed amendments to the CFUW Articles and Bylaws  for CFUW AGM 2020

CANCELLED -Monday, April 20, 2020 – “Passion for Law Reform” with Nancy Morrison, former lawyer and BC Supreme Court Judge.

CANCELLED -Monday, May 11, 2020 – AGM and Dinner Speaker – “BC in Rhyme” with Adelene da soul poet, aka Bertha Clark . Bertha is a descendent of the Black Pioneers of Salt Spring Island, and uses the power of poetry to speak of family, friendship, spiritual power and justice for all people to live on their land.

Monday, December 9, 2019 – Christmas Social and Silent Auction for members and guests

Monday, January 20, 2020 – “The Golden Girls Life Choice” Susan Cathcart, with the Hollyburn Family Services Society spoke to  us about the intriguing new senior’s roommate registry that would pair up seniors seeking companionship, security and cost-effective housing alternative. Anne Baird who made her own arrangements for such an arrangement ( before the registry had been set up) spoke to us about her experience which has been very positive.

Tuesday, February 18, 2020 – Evolving Canadian Awareness of Re-Awakening China”   with Dr. David T. Fung.  He  is Capilano University’s chancellor, a resident of the North Shore, and an international leader in business, technology and sustainability who has a long history of proactive interest in post-secondary education.
